FinOps Freelance Projects

As a freelance FinOps Engineer, you’ll join our exceptional team at MeteorOps. Our mission is to enable companies the freedom to build great software, with MeteorOps as their trusted competitive advantage.

Projects Include:

• Implementing and managing cloud cost optimization strategies
• Building dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility into cloud spending
• Collaborating with teams to design cost-efficient cloud architectures
• Establishing and managing budgets, forecasts, and usage thresholds for cloud resources
• Developing automated tools and solutions for cost monitoring and governance
• Identifying and addressing inefficiencies in cloud usage to drive cost savings
• Advising clients on best practices for cloud financial management and optimization
• Ensuring compliance with financial policies and alignment with business objectives

Here’s what we’d expect you to bring to the table

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or FinOps engineering
• Strong understanding of cloud cost models and billing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Hands-on experience with FinOps tools (e.g., CloudHealth, CloudCheckr, Spot.io, AWS Cost Explorer)
• Expertise in building cost optimization strategies and designing cost-aware architectures
• Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized workloads from a cost perspective
• Excellent collaboration, written communication, and time management skills
• Fluency in English, with additional language(s) a plus
